Dear Peanut
Summer is here or at least this is what the calendar says.
We have had some lazy sunshine sipping through the clouds which means you could work on your wobbling and stomping in our local park.
Everyday you show more of your unique personality; you are a funny boy. A stand-up comedy star in the making or a mountaineer, judging by your ability to climb the Everest tables, chairs, the kitchen cupboard and the big bookshelf.
Here are some snippets of last week. Something for you to read one day and remember. Taste of your first ever ice cream. Your first magic tent. And your second summer solstice.
Love

Welcome to Peanut’s Magic Tent
I love poems but am completely useless at writing them – love your post x
Thank you! All I can manage are 3 lines at a time 🙂 x
More than me! x
You can never tire of magic tent building.
Every day I get the clothes horse out to do the washing we end up with a den. Great fun but very little dry washing!
Brilliant idea – will try it out 🙂
I love this! i am really loving these posts honey! thank you for linking them up with #MagicMoments!
P.s i am loving the pictures too 🙂
Thank you:-) x
I just love, love your Haiku’s and the little illustrations that go with them! X.
Thank you 🙂 x
Lovely! Like the lines about the eyes as two suns especially.
Thank you 🙂
Oh I haven’t built a tent for ages! *builds one now* And I love the line… Your eyes-two suns!
Ah – it is so much fun! A good hiding place 😉
I loved this! My Esme is also peanut – and she is into making dens big time at the mo. Drives me mad seeing the cushions scattered where they’re not supposed to be mind you, but what the hell. Look at the fun she’s having!
Ha ha ha – the fun is worth all the mess 🙂
Ooh, we haven’t done any den building yet, but I think this might be a serious lack in our range of entertainment. Will need to try it.
Let me know how you got on – I definitely recommended it (and if well made, a perfect hiding place for the tired mum) 😉 x
What a good idea! Must remember to include sleeping bag and pillows in the design…
Loving the Your eyes – two suns…thats brilliant. Here’s to dens! x
Thank you *raising a glass* 😉 x
I really enjoy reading these each week! They give such a good glimpse into what you have been doing, or thinking. XX
Thank you! They kind of have become a permanent fixture on my blog 🙂 x
Another fab Haiku 🙂 I really loved the two eyes as two suns as well. Such a wonderful way to round up what you have been doing. Thank you so much for linking to Prose for Thought xx
You are welcome and thank you for being so kind :-)x

I just love the end of it “Welcome to Peanut’s Magic Tent” 🙂 and “melting stars your eyes two suns” It just puts images in my head of magic moments with my own boy, moments you just want to bottle up so they last forever. 🙂 Fabulous 🙂
Thank you so much – I really enjoy recording our magic moments through mini poems. Hope Peanut can read them one day 🙂 x
What a beautiful thought! That hadn’t even crossed my mind. You’ve inspired me!
